While I believe that WuFlu, Flu Manchu, Kung Flu, whatever, is a new flu-variant, I also believe that the response, the hype, the 24/7 hysteria is an insane over-reaction.

Yeah, I think shutting down businesses instead of just taking precautions like wearing a mask and safety glasses is a result of media hype and scare tactics. I don't see anything in the Big-6 media about preventative immune boosting, or even the importance of getting some sun.

But we have seen this movie before. Government over-hypes a threat as an excuse to grab more of our freedoms. When the “threat” is over, however, they never give us our freedoms back.
