So , NY is among one of the state's locked down yesterday. School and administrative closings had already begun Monday but Friday is when it all went live and large.

In my small town of less than a thousand people it has gotten super quiet. Much more than normal. For the most part. My apartment building is full of assholes that give no shits about quarantines and lock downs and are treating this all as vacation time. In and out all hours of the day and night. If their is covid in our particular area of Clinton County they are doing their best to find it and bring it back with them.

As it stands , media says clinton has 3 cases and Essex has one. My small town is on the border of both. Buses normally connect all us rural folks but that's done for now. Them Amish are gonna be staying on their farms for awhile.

On a personal note... I was looking forward to three weeks in summer time with my boy. Now ...who knows. Hopefully that pqq anti malaria drug is as legit as it is being hyped up to be.

I'll provide updates as time goes on from my little corner of corona world.

There may be some good news there:

Spring equinox and rise in solar uv radiation will predictably bring mild epidemic to an abrupt halt (except for quarantined populations)

A recently published analysis reveals influenza virus activity correlates with low-temperature/low UV radiation.  That report states: “It is now becoming evident that meteorological factors are associated with seasonality of influenza virus epidemics.”  Temperature and UV intensity are the No. 1 and No. 2 predictive factors for influenza activity.  Crowding of populations in jails and other confined indoor quarters only prolongs the epidemic by virtue of the lack of sunlight indoors.  Low temperature results in people wearing skin-covering clothes that completely blocks all skin exposure to the sun, the primary source for vitamin D in humans.

Thanks for this postcard, titorite! Hope things improve for you. There must be a curse on the name Clinton :-s

Let's have some reports from others around the country or world.

Things hit home for me today. I have a buddy in San Marcos. We still talk regularly. Our buddy at a painting contractor was exposed. The fellow wasn't feeling good and complained about it to his coworker who informed him that his GF had the covid too. He had kept that to himself for two weeks. She is a confirmed case. They shut down everyone has gone home to self isolate. Homeboy was fired and was crying about it meanwhile everyone else is like FUCK YOU FOR NOT TELLING US SOONER...

Our buddy has a daughter with health conditions.
