I was in Springfield, MO one time to make a delivery at Springfield Grocers. It was too early to get in there, so I pull up in parking lot across the street to hit the bunk. It was raining lightly.

Just then a car came flying down the street and lost control. They hit a big wooden pole and broke it off 3 feet and 10 feet above the ground. The power lines cascaded and power went out in the whole neighborhood.

I ran over there and this girl was all twisted up in the wreck. So I got back to the truck and went to call the boss. He told me, "If you can get in there, make your delivery. Otherwise go on to Tulsa."

I was able to get in the dock since they had power when it was time. I was glad for that.

I found out that a cop had clocked a car doing 90 on a cross street. It turned out the girl had just broken up with her BF and she was distraught. Oh well. :-/

That was because Donald Trump was about to be impeached. Now, with a better footing, we have Corona Virus. I have no one in my circle who knows anyone who is dying of Covid19 or even has it. I cannot actually believe this is real until someone dies of the shit with my first hand knowledge.

I live in an almost all white small town but I grew up in a mixed environment and went to a High School that had 10,000 students and the mix was about 50/50 black and white. Another thing, when I lived in San Diego the make-up of the neighborhood wasn't a big deal unless you intentionally wanted to live in a high crime area. I graduated from H.S. in 1968 and there were race riots every year that I attended.

I am not restricted to my home, yet. As I mentioned before I live in a small town so my perception of this crisis is pretty much limited to what I see and hear locally, or on the internet. It does seem to be hyper broadcasting is the norm these days and the media have been caught lying so often that truth doesn't stand a chance.

EDIT: I wanted to add that I am not certain but am thinking that with so many people now working from home that many offices may never reopen and this might lead to vacancies all over the country in large office buildings with even major corporations opting for storefronts and much lower overhead.

I started thinking about your narrow minded view and recalled when I happened to be a construction laborer just after returning from Vietnam. I was the only white guy on an otherwise all black crew.
