A Southern California nursing home has been hit hard by the coronavirus, with more than 50 residents infected - a troubling development amid cautious optimism that cases in the state may peak more slowly than expected.

Sounds like the staff might need better training? Some nursing homes are staffed by people who hate their job and the residents they're supposed to be caring for. I've seen videos of nursing home employees treating the residents so horribly that they should go to prison for it.

It can and does happen. When I was in a nursing home the people that worked there stole me blind, even my I.D. I had to send to Chicago for my birth certificate to prove who I was so I could get a new I.D. :-/

The US first went over 100 deaths because 30 died at that nursing home in Kirkland, Wa.
