It doesn't matter. People will not go hungry since it is impossible to have a depression where millions go hungry and tens of thousands starve. That is because is the last 100 years one person working 8 hours can produce more than a large family could by working sunrise to sunset 6 days a week. Technology has made us 100 times more productive.

The boss's son at work was supposed to buy a house a few months back. I think he is also paying on his pick up.

When he finds out the bank is not loaning him any money (fractional reserve banking), I bet he goes down there with a pitchfork to stick it in the presidents ass.

If he has gotten a mortgage, he likely will default since he has not had it for long. ;)

Prices will come down. Tell him to buy silver or silver mining shares. When his investments spike, the price of real estate will drop so he can pick up something better for less. No fractional reserve banking. In the old days it was $10 in deposits allowed the Banker to loan out $100. Under the newer and much more relaxed rules, Bankers only need a dollar and they can loan out an infinite amount of checking account money.

My uncle was a counterfeiter. He said he could stimulate the economy. He would print the money in his garage and get an industrial size fan to blow stacks of money out onto the sidewalk. He thought that was a new idea. I didn't tell him that Bernanke coined the phrase 'we will be dropping the money from helicopters.'
