Kentucky State Troopers Ticket 50 Cars at In-Person Easter Service

Kentucky state troopers, acting on orders from Democratic Governor Andy Beshear, took the license numbers of and issued tickets to about 50 worshipers who attended an in-person Easter service in Hillview.
The tickets said the state would pursue “further enforcement measures” if the parishioners did not quarantine themselves for 14 days. It remains unclear what state police will do with the license numbers that were recorded.
Beshear said on Friday, “This is the only way we can ensure that your decision doesn’t kill someone else."
Some parishioners indicated that they would not obey the quarantine order.
Several said as they left that they had no intention of abiding by the notice on their windshields that called for a 14-day self-quarantine or face the threat of "further enforcement measures."
Exactly what troopers will do with those license numbers or what steps Beshear will take next wasn't immediately clear Sunday.
What is clear is that Maryville's pastor, the Rev. Jack Roberts, has no intention of ending in-person services, despite the deadly pandemic, putting his church among a handful of others across Kentucky that have rebuffed Beshear's wishes.
This looks like social distancing to me.
Maryville Baptist Church continues to hold in-person services despite orders to cease.
Police record license plates and put notices on all the cars.
I wonder if they will force these people into a mandatory house quarantine.

I was sitting in the court room in Ozark with a buddy. The prosecutor wanted to arraign this guy that was not there.
The Judge knew that I knew my stuff. He said, "Mr. B, can we arraign this gentleman if he is not here?"
I said, "No Sir, he has to be here in order to arraign him."
That prosecutor got egg on his face. LOL

When I drove a truck for Vestal, another driver was driving our regular tractor and going thru a scale house in South Dakota.
A dog keyed on the truck and they stopped him. They climbed all over those boxes of flowers in the trailer.
Then they ran his I.D. and found he had a warrant in Texas and had him extradited. It must have been a felony since that would not happen over a misdemeanor. That could have happened anywhere, on any traffic stop, any place.
It was a small company and they needed drivers. But if they had spent a little extra and done a back ground check that would have popped right up. :-/

You do recall that before the Revolution the King's soldiers could stop your wagon or carriage and search it with no probable cause.
This was one of the grievances of the Colonists and it led to further incursions against the liberty of the colonists.
It was further evidenced when the British marched on Lexington and Concord in 1775 to seize powder and shot at the town armories.
The Minutemen responded to this by firing at British troops along the route from places of cover. BTW, the women would help to reload rifles for the men.
The British took heavy casualties and returned to Boston with their tails between their legs.
The Boston Massacre in 1770 was one of the first atrocities committed by the British against the colonials.
After the long list of usurpation it led to more ardent opposition by the colonials. ;)

I met an older guy here in the local taxi. He was up around 80 years of age. He had a 60 year old girlfriend and he made arrangements for her to get his house in Florida when he passed away.
I would say he needed to watch out for a hemlock shake. ;)
