WHO Wants to Restrict Access to Adult Beverages

We know what happened when Prohibition was started. That didn't last very long and only contributed to the rise of organized crime. ;)

Mebbe the governmentcrats are nostalgic for that clusterbleep? They're 100% perverse, always seeking the opposite of what we want and need ;)

nostalgic

We were working a concert at Medusa's in Chicago. It was a juice bar since most of the crowd was underage.

I was walking the line and this kid had a pop bottle and was trying to hide it behind his leg. I said, "Let me see that."

I unscrewed the cap and smelled it. It was straight Jack. I said, "No. You can't have this."

I bet he got it from home. If he had been holding it like a regular soda I might not have noticed. LOL

We love to give our own guilt away. I guess nowadays every brat brings a soda bottle full of booze.

I was good at my job. Concert Security was part time and it did not pay enough to get my but kicked, so I would not allow anyone to do it to me. I got hurt once or twice but that went with the territory. ;)

How long did you do that work?

I started that in early 80s and went thru 1996 or so. Maybe 14 years near as I can recall.

When I lived in Palatine, I was talking with this chick about her moving in with me. Her BF was a hot head and he came charging at me.

I tried to walk away but he would not back down. I tried to get him with a back hand but he ducked and went low on me. I sat on him, grabbed him by the hair and mashed his face into the pavement a few times. That took the oomph out of him.

He told one of his neighbors I kicked his ass. That guy told him, "He didn't kick your ass. He kicks people's asses for a living."

I was working concerts at the time. But in winter it was harder to book shows because of snow and ice.

BTW, that chick told me once, "Kill him. Get him out of my life." LOL

OMG, the stuff you've been thru. They don't have riots in winter either -- ever noticed? ;)

Yes I noticed that.

One time when working for State Highways in winter, we were out filling pot holes. A cameraman for the Chicago Tribune pulled up and told us he wanted to get some pictures of us filling pot holes. I was on right side of material truck and wearing my orange state jacket.

When the picture came out, the boss was asking me where my safety vest was. I told him, "I gave it to the camera man."

You have to be quick with a come back, just like we would do with the cops.

It wouldn't do to be standing there stammering and stuttering. ;)
