January 15th, first coronavirus infected person arrived from China. On that same day Pelosi handed out impeachment pens.
Jan. 17th. Trump admin started screening incoming passengers from Wuhan.
Jan 31st. Trump implemented travel restrictions even though the media was saying there was no reason to fear travel to China. WHO said no need to limit trade and movement. Also on Jan 31st Nancy Pelosi introduced the No Ban Act which would stop Trump from banning people from Wuhan taking flights to the US.
Trump introduced a bill to spend $2.5 billion on the coronavirus. Pelosi did not act on the bill but did introduce legislation to ban flavored tobacco.
February 4th Trump talked about the coronavirus in his Sate of the Union. Pelosi ripped up her copy of the SOU speech. Adam Schiff was head on the Intelligence Committee and received briefings on the virus but he did not talk about the coronavirus until February 25th.
Nancy Pelosi and Bill De Blasio were urging residents of NYC and SF to come out for the Chinese New Years parade on February 9th. Governor John Bel Edwards gave his blessing to 1.4 million people to attend the Mardi Gras in New Orleans.
Italy did not lockdown until March 10th. Spain locked down on March 14th. Iran did not lock down until April 4th. And Sweden never locked down.
Trump administered travel restrictions from Europe on March 12th. The media criticized the travel European bans as they did the earlier Chinese bans.
China would not give the CDC virus samples to make a test. The CDC and not Trump refused to let WHO give us tests kits. FDA regulations prevented private industries from making tests. Trump removed that ban and let private companies make tests. CDC did have test kits but 47 of the 50 states received failed test kits. Abbott Labs is turning out 50,000 test kits a day.
