There are lots of great "how they did it" videos, yeah, but this planning and construction process show is just astounding. AS THE BURJ AL ARAB WAS BUILT, thirtysomething English architects designed it and solved massive problems while others engineered and decorated it etc.
It's the tallest and most luxurious hotel in the world, not the Burj Khalifa - - and sheesh, it took gumption!

Most of these places have more empty suites than could be sold in a really competitive environment.

The Burj al Arab, also in Dubai, is much worse in this respect, with 39% of the entire building unusable. In fact, Dubai has five towers listed as the tallest buildings in “vanity height” – unusable height for the sake of it. Across these five, some 31% of total space is completely wasted."

The problem with that is some very long URLs forcibly extend the page borders left/right and then scrolling left/right is required to read everything on the page.
But even when the readable URL is shorted with the "..." in the middle, the entire URL is still copyable, or should be, by right clicking on the URL and selecting "copy link". I clicked on URL and it appeared to work fine. That can happen even if the whole URL is not readable.

That's a tall order. I appreciate it, but the problem is that this software is about the same age now as a high school grad. And my web development skills are about as old.
This site is perl CGI powered, which is reasonably obsolete, as the current standard which offers that kind of fanciness is PHP, which is web development software that requires rather sophisticated software to create. PERL CGI can be made with any basic text editor like notepad on windows. PHP has largely taken over the web development market, and with it, has developed in a rather sophisticated manner. And I've not followed suit with web development.
My impression, right now as I type, is that a WYSIWYG ("What You See Is What You Get" for all you others reading this) text entry interface would probably most properly be done with a complete, modernizing web site rewrite. Not that that's out of the question as even that could be done, but it would be an expense of time & effort that would have to be covered by someone somewhere, and to do it right, I'd likely not be the best person to hire.
I may be a little bit wrong in that maybe there is some kind of self- contained WYSIWYG HTML/Java interface that could be packaged up inside of the current software, but I'd bet even money against such a solution, if it exists, being feasible.
Though it's older software, it's pretty simple to use, and as is clearly becoming a stronger plus these days, is advertisement free!
But.... if there might be serious interest contributing to give 4um a modernized facelift, then it could certainly be done. It could be outsourced to a PHP developer on the other side of the planet for maybe 10-15 bucks per hour. How many hours would it take? Great question.
