When FDR abrogated the gold standard in 1933, smart people saw thru the scam and kept their gold in safety.
But if you had gold bars in a safe deposit box at the bank, there was a Treasury agent there to see what was in that box when you came in to open it up.
Congress passed HJR 192 to give the people a way out, but sadly that was repealed. freedom-school.com/lewis-mohr/5-was-hjr-192- repealed.pdf
But there is one thing you must realize. A resolution only applies to certain class of citizens. And those citizens are citizens of the United States, the federal citizen, not the state citizen.
Those federal citizens have federal jobs and other jobs in the system. ;)

Twenty years ago, gold was $271.84 per ounce. It is now $1,728.90 so in twenty years gold had increased by 636% against the US Dollar.
