Melissa Etheridge said Wednesday that her son Beckett Cypher has died.

The singer mourned the loss of her son in a statement she shared on her Twitter account on Wednesday.

Beckett was just 21 years of age.

“Today I joined the hundreds of thousands of families who have lost loved ones to opioid addiction,” the statement said. “My son Beckett, who was just 21, struggled to overcome his addiction and finally succumbed to it today.”

OMG, that's sad. Celebs shouldn't have children -- so many of their kids go this way. The kookier the names they give them, the more doomed they are. "Beckett Cypher", WTF!!! Among the children of Aretha Franklin's presently squabbling over her estate is a son named "Kecalf".

You know how young Beckett was conceived of his lesbian mother, right?

Correct. The donor was David Crosby. What could go wrong?

Is that in the movie?

Lots of soul and R&B songs are one negro yelling at another or denouncing them in absentia ;)

Wow, fantastic! I like CSNY but they sure looks dumb at times like this. On the other hand, what has Ted ever written or sung that's good? I simply don't know his stuff -- think he was originally just a hard rock clown.

No, you're supposed to call me a sissy -- read the manual. Music became industrial noise so a generation of guys who no longer worked dirty jobs could impress their chicks -- canned masculinity that deafened the heroic practitioners just the same.

I LIKE some hard rock -- the classic stuff, because it's music. In my HUMMMMBLE opinion this stuff ain't. Nugent is so proud of guiding youth in shooting and survival etc., which is good, but his kind of noise is soul-, ear- and brain-killing. Ya got me goin'!

Shebang! :)

I like the garage rock stuff because it was a reaction against the producer driven bubble gum music, which was basically a TV friendly cousin of Nashville sound. Not all of it was good, but none of the producer driven stuff was good, it was like canned dog food.

An HVAC technician will be coming to install a new air handler here on Thursday morning. I'll need a chimney sweep and some roofers out here before the end of the year.

I've never needed an entertainer.

UV lamps

Do you have experience with UV lamps in HVAC applications? I've installed several heat pumps over the years, but never installed or owned a UV system. Do they really work?

When we got our new system (Trane 17.7 SEER) several years back, my HVAC man (and friend) insisted that we get the lamps and a humidity controller in the t'stat.

Internet info says that the lamps kill both bacteria and viruses, so I guess that it must be true. :-)

I have no empirical knowledge of the lamps' efficacy, but I'm glad they're there just the same.

Our system has a natural gas furnace, if that matters.

LOL, quite possible. I liked Melissa for her music, didn't give a shit about about her proclivities until she joined Hillary Army. Not even worth fighting back, or I'd post classics like "Clit licking moron bitch" or "thieving lesbo whore junkie", but I've grown as a human, and the entire national Progressive Movement tells me I'm better than that, now. :)
