I would love to see an accounting of all the subsidies given by Americans to black families and individuals. Last I heard it was $8,000 a year subsidy for black families. And $4,500 each for every Latino family. That and the costs of the prisons and the courts and the costs to society of the crimes they commit.

The cost of the prisons is put into the annual budgets of every state, even those that contract out the prison guards to a private company. those guards are not necessarily employed by the state.

I hadn't seen those figures for annual subsidies for black and Latino families.

You know that when I worked for the State of Illinois, we had a black storekeeper. He had a daughter that was close to getting married and moving out of the house. He said, "I can see the light at the end of the tunnel." ;)

Some of that reparations money needs to go to white folks, because here in South Carolina a person could be 7/8 white and still be a slave.
