Solzhenitsyn's Gulag Archipelago is one of the few non- Confederate books on the non-engineering bookshelf in my office.

I read it to get the gist. My wife read every word of it. She said she felt she owed that much to all the victims.

The Black Book of Communism is another title on that shelf.

When I was a kid his books One Day In The Life of Ivan Denisovich and The Cancer Ward were read by my big brother and other hi schoolers. The former title was made into a movie in English and advt on TV.

It was all absolutely hellish to hear about and see around. Horrible. Nightmarish. But I instantly revered the gutsy author.

Cops are a necessary evil. The cop evil is an evil that in the big picture does far more good than bad. In many areas the cops serve in the area in which they actually live and are an active participating member. Where I live the State Cops, the Sheriffs and local Constable are all friends and family of this community, on a first name basis with most everyone.

The current conditions in some parts of America are the result of a never satisfied group of freeloaders and malcontents that are incited to violence by college professors, political traitors that condone the violent overthrow of govt in treasonous violation of their oath of office, and various corporate sponsors that possess vast wealth and want to see America subservient to a command and control government where they control the levers of power.

I do not belong to any political party but I do pay attention. The republicans were sickened by the Obama's and the Obama Administration. They didn't riot, burn, loot and murder to change things. They elected Trump and many other republicans. They worked within the system, while these leftist unruly brats supported by democrats in blue state shit holes have thrown together a mob of militants to crash and burn the country rather than actually demonstrate some ideology that might improve conditions. Instead they have suggested banning airplane travel, cut-off of fossil fuel use, defund the police, let everyone out of jail, close all coal powered power generation, and the beat goes on.

I played basketball primarily with blacks as a kid. And the most frustrating thing about playing with them was that they continually and persistently would bitch about being fouled so they could get the ball. An hour long game had 30 minutes of black bitching.

Am I satisfied with the national government ? Hell no. Am I satisfied with local and State govt. Not always and not completely, but far more than the D.C. FEDS.

I'm thankful that I live in Texas but concerned that the large cities are being operated by liberals and the outlying small towns and communities are Christian, Bible believing, pretty normal environments where people get along and if they have some disagreement with city planners or officials, they sit down and discuss it. The truth is it is impossible for everyone to appreciate every resolution the local govt. has to make but to have a situation like in Seattle, Washington or Minneapolis, Minnesota would likely find Texans storming which ever city a group of thugs thought they should "TAKEOVER" and eliminating the squatters and then fumigating the place !
