Peaceful protesters peacefully walk towards a violent extremist killer.
The left is painting a cartoonish image of Mondays shooting at a statue removal in New Mexico.
They are claiming that the peaceful protesters simply went there to destroy a piece of American history, and a man showed up and started shooting at them.

Never underestimate any government's ability to seat a jury that will convict you of any and all charges that the government decides to throw at you.
There is almost NO justice in this country, and even less for a white male who is politically incorrect. (And I know why.)

'The heavily armed individuals who flaunted themselves at the protest, calling themselves a 'civil guard,' were there for one reason: To menace protesters, to present an unsanctioned show of unregulated force,' New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham said in a statement.

Much of it depends on how the Judge gives the jury their instructions. But just one juror holding out will cause it to be hung which means no conviction.
I was in the local court house a few years back. There were a few people seated in the hallway wearing JUROR name tags. I said to one of them, "When I lived in Chicago, I was called for Federal Jury Duty. As soon as they found out I worked for State of Illinois I was dismissed." One of the Jurors said, "Lucky you." ;)
