Really good! Yes, it clearly dates from the Bush era but shows what I keep saying -- things never change under the Permanent Regime. To update:

The rest of it pretty applies or I'm sure has many parallels.

When I was 9 years-old, I read about the difference between interest and non-interest bearing currencies like the Greenback. If we had free speech those Bankers would have been in jail. Knew that when I was 9.

You were way ahead of the game! When I was about 12 or 14 my impossibly old grandfather kept plying me with right-lit -- a paper on the fall of Rhodesia, a Dan Smoot Report on the Pruitt-Igoe mess etc. I hated it, but the treatment took -- and how ;)

My Dad used to get the weekly Spotlight newspaper, published by Liberty Lobby and Willis Carto. That paper ingrained a lot of right wing attitudes in me. And I am still conservative in my views. ;)

Pruitt-Igoe

Just as in St. Louis with Pruitt-Igoe, the CHA buildings in Chicago have all come down. Those people have been moved out to the suburbs into Section Eight Housing.

My sister told me a few years back that she knew a woman out there that was a cop. She said things are not the way they used to be. Where the drug consumers are, the drug dealers go. :-/

Wonder which is worse -- having those ppl all in one place downtown or dispersing them in suburbia! Far better to have just let 'em stew in their original housing.
