Nancy Pelosi says Republicans are ‘trying to get away with … the murder of George Floyd’

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-Calif.) claimed Tuesday that Senate Republicans are “trying to get away with … the murder of George Floyd,” over accusations that the GOP refuses to budge as Congress tangles over anti-policing legislation.

hat are the details?

CNN reported that “Democrats are on track to block a GOP-led police reform bill” introduced by Sen. Tim Scott (R-S.C.), while Senate Democrats have offered competing legislation championed by Sens. Kamala Harris (Calif.) and Cory Booker (N.J.).

During an interview with CBS News Radio, The Daily Caller reported, Pelosi discussed the impasse, saying of the Republicans, “The press has given them so much play for this unsalvageable piece of legislation and they say, ‘well, can’t you compromise with that?’ No, it’s because it is no and we are yes.”

The speaker gave an example of the parties’ differing proposals, telling the outlet, “We’re saying no chokeholds. They’re not saying no to chokeholds. I mean, there’s a big difference there. What’s the compromise? Some chokeholds? I don’t see what the compromise is.

“For something to happen, they’re going to have to face the reality of police brutality,” she continued. “The reality of the need for justice in policing, and the recognition that there are many, many good people in law enforcement, but not all and that we have to address those concerns.”

Pelosi added, “So far they’re trying to get away with murder, actually. The murder of George Floyd.”

What did the GOP say?

National Republican Campaign Committee spokesman Michael McAdams issued a statement in response, saying, “Nancy Pelosi needs to immediately apologize to Republicans for her deplorable accusations.”

The NRCC also tweeted, “Either @SpeakerPelosi knows what she is saying and should immediately apologize or she doesn’t know what’s (sic) she’s saying and is no longer fit for public office.”

Poster Comment:

Pelousy needs to retire since she is unfit to serve as Speaker of the House. Her past antics are proof positive of this.

Has anyone suggested that the cop that is charged with killing Floyd is actually a registered republican ?

Usually we find out that the mass murderers are Dems or Hillary supporters.

That fact alone would put a fly in the ointment. ;)

What I don't get is why not a single "respectable" media figure/politician has pointed out that all four Minneapolis cops were fired immediately and charged with murder. Isn't that perfect fucking evidence of the system working? WTF, is BLM hoping to bring back lynch mobs?

The BLM leadership are not concerned in the least about the cops or the man killed. They are communists or at a minimum carrying out these attacks in order to achieve their own agenda as well as their financiers. These people simply await on opportunity that they think (wrongly) gives them the impetus to strike out in righteous indignation. This guy Floyd has never been anything more than a petty crook that employed violence if necessary to carry out his criminal acts.

If I'm wrong about my claim then we should take another look at the Bell curve because these outbursts of emotional violence were immediate, and the lack of concern for due process or the right to be considered innocent until proven guilty simply thrown out the window clearly demonstrates "STUPIDITY", lack of intelligence. [But what has occurred is the hijacking of the protest to insert an attacking anti-American mob of Know-nothings that haven't even got a clue what would fill the vacuum should the country fall into a civil war or worse.]

The policemen probably should have been fired long before this incident occurred based upon their records of complaints. The truth is that these BLM members are doing almost exactly the same wrong headed acts that they point the finger at others for doing. All of these cops have been lynched in the media while Floyd has been nominated for sainthood.

The Mayor and City of Minneapolis should also be held liable for their part in this matter. Not just the death of Floyd, but for the resultant damage done to cities across the country and world. The public officials in Minneapolis, Minnesota, by failing to do their jobs, for failing to address their internal cop problem, and possibly the training that was employed. If the cops training provided for the use of that choke hold he could walk on the murder charge. That could revitalize the riots, God forbid. At some point if the official authorities continue to fail in their duties the people will have to take matters into their own hands and then put the responsible people into offices they deserve, and jail those they replace.

Irrespective of the outcome of a future trial there was never justification for the damages done to property, no excuse for the looting, and no justification for the police to stand down. There is no excuse for "NOT CHARGING CRIMINALS" for criminal acts they've committed.

The top echelon of the BLM are not out there doing these things. It's their underlings and other idiots that they'll let go to jail, or worse have someone's death on their conscience.

Democrat mayor hires Democrat police chief, who hires a bad cop, fails to properly train him, ignores 18 brutality complaints, fails to fire him, and he kills a Democrat in a Democrat-run town.

Sure. The Republicans are responsible.

It makes perfect sense. ;)

Consider their name: Black Lives Matter ... this is an obvious racist statement especially when someone counters them with All Lives Matter or Babies lives matter (referencing abortion of black babies) ... the BLM people remain adamant that only Black Lives Matter.

Black on Black murders/ crime is far more prevalent than White on Black murders/crime or Cops killing Blacks, and should have been a much higher priority for the BLM people to address as well as the very high rate of Black babies aborted/killed.

BLM is a front group just like Antifa (the anti-facists) that are exactly what they claim to oppose, FASCISTS. They are being funded by corporations and others that have a desire to see America fall. It's my opinion that the radical leadership of both groups are incapable of holding a real job, have been jailed for criminal acts, and have likely been promised some future benefit if they can succeed in causing enough disruption to get the Democrat ticket elected by making low information voters hate Trump.

Some people I work with are so far off center they are irretrievable.

Some even frown when you say the word "shit". And that is not so horrible a word. I told one, "I have words that would curl your ears but I do not use them." ;)

upper management.

We were working a Chicago Bears game in Soldier Field in Chicago.

I was on the end zone with the low wall. Some guy wearing a Bear suit was edging his way down the stairs.

The big boss Jerry, one of the owners of Jam Productions came by.

I said, "Jerry, do you see the guy in the Bear suit?"

He replied, "Yes."

I said, "I think he wants to jump." (To get on the field.)

He said, "You think so?"

I replied, "Yes."

Jerry said, "We will call a supervisor and send him back to his seat."

I said, "C'mon Jerry. Let him jump. I'll grab him by the tail on the way over the fence."

Jerry said, "No."

He was a spoil sport. :-/

Has anyone suggested that the cop that is charged with killing Floyd is actually a registered republican ?

Derek Chauvin, the former Minneapolis police officer charged with second-degree murder for the death of George Floyd on May 25, 2020 (  here ), is a registered Republican.

Using the date of birth and address listed on the criminal complaint against Chauvin for Floyd’s death ( available here ), Reuters found that Chauvin was not registered to vote in Minnesota, according to the state’s voter registration search ( here ).

1st, the article referenced doesn't indicate Officer Chauvin was registered to vote for either party or registered to vote at all.

The article is interesting in that it minimizes rioters activities and embellishes the negatives regarding the police. One thing I found interesting in the article is that a prosecutor has been appointed to prosecute the case that has a conviction for murder against a cop in his history. What I found interesting is that the State of Minnesota will (and should) prosecute cops that willfully commit murder. I am interested to know if the convicted cop committed the murder on or off duty. I would like to know if the same officials were in authority at the time of that conviction or has the administration of the State changed since then.

The seriousness of the Floyd case is evident but that doesn't mean Chauvin should be a sacrificial lamb simply because the mob has created havoc before all of the evidence was in. This kind of mob incited rioting without an investigation, without a trial, without due process, is what should bother everyone. Let's not forget that the ratio of Blacks murdering Whites is at least 2 to 1. Blacks are responsible for 81% of the White people murdered.

[ Homicides have been on the rise since the start of 2015, but that increase has largely been driven by street violence in Chicago, Baltimore and the nation's capital. Still, Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump has effectively played on Americans' perception of crime – itself buttressed by daily crime coverage in the news – declaring that blacks were responsible for 81 percent of the killings of white Americans, that "African-American communities are absolutely in the worst shape they've ever been in before," and that "inner-city crime is reaching record levels."

I want to know more about the commission of that other murder if possible. Was the cop a bad cop that killed a drug dealer to steal the drugs or money ?

Here's what I see happening with respect to the BLM and Antifa movements. (Like bowel movements they are full of shit).

These two loser groups of saggy pants malcontents and their purple haired, nose ring wearing faggot comrades are pissed off about their own failures to achieve anything of substance in life. They believe you and I should just serve it up to them so that they have what you and I work for without having to put out any effort. Actually, they've been on the winning side of the free lunch statistics ever since LBJ and the DEMS created their dependence upon a taxpayer funded lifestyle. I started to bitch about the somewhat lavish lifestyle some of these parasites enjoy, but I won't.

Nancy Pelosi is an embarrassment to liberty and freedom. Nancy Pelosi is a whining old hag that is in charge of seeing to it that if the DEMS can't have victory through the election process they'll see to it that the REPS don't enjoy the benefits of winning the election. This is similar to a frustrated spouse that murders the entire family over a custody loss. If I can't have the kids you can't either, only in this case the DEMS are murdering our country and our freedom.

Then there's the sniffer-ophile, Joe Biden. This dementia suffering, bribe taking, beneficiary of nepotism and his sons extortion of the Ukrainians is probably thinking of moving the oval office to his basement. I have never witnessed so much blatant ineptness in my life especially being conducted by people that have been portrayed in most of the media as brilliant, Harvard, Yale, Princeton, and Stanford graduates. Really, no shit, these feeble, mindless, poor excuses for public servants are the "best of the best" ???

It is time to cut the PC bullshit and tell it like it is. The engine of freedom is so far out of tolerance that it's about to blow. I think we've tolerated enough of this childish and immature PC horseshit and tantrum throwing, statue destroying, property damaging, building burning, and injury causing boo-hooing to demonstrate patience. There isn't one good reason for the current events to be violent other than the media and the politicians for the most part keep stoking the race baiting crap when the truth is "white people are too busy trying to pay for their own shit, raise their own kids, and in addition pay for the cry babies illegitimate children, their housing, and food needs as well as whatever else Uncle Sambo wants to dish out.

Fuck it ! I was done with this ridiculous out of control system a long time ago and it's becoming all too obvious that Americans have been lobotomized, hypnotized, and castrated by the D.C. clown posse.

All we need to remember about government is what George Washington told us. ;)

"Government is not reason; it is not eloquent; it is force. Like fire, it is a dangerous servant and a fearful master."
