Prominent conservatives have launched a campaign on Twitter urging users to switch to Parler, a competing platform marketed as a "free speech social network."

Same here, but I think I need to sign up to something.

For the first time in 3 or 4 months, I managed to score some bacon at the Local Soviet Collective Co-Op formerly known as Kroger and I feel that if I don't brag about it, I'm gonna burst.

Do you have a Gordons Food Service up there? I snagged a huge tray of bacon back in April, most of it is still in the freezer, but I saw same package when I was there about six weeks ago. Got the 10 lb box of pork chops earlier this week, they are really thin but taste great. Looking at sometime in September before I'll even have enough room in my freezer to think about buying anything else.

Yeah, but it's about as far away as you can get from my house and still be in the same city.

I might go there next week, I want to get a case of their freeze-dried refried beans. They're really good, put that canned shit to shame. Keep forever.

I do love the thin, bone-in, chops so much so that I take'em off the grill with pliers and gnaw the meat off the bone. Not a pretty sight, but damn are they ever delicious.

It's always strange going to the store now, seeing empty shelves, etc. Still a lot of shortages, decent beef, looks like fresh chicken has been outlawed, canned meat like Spam or hash, potato flakes, no Kroger brand stuff, etc.

Plenty of milk (good news for baby cows), bread and eggs. Cheese is a little skimpy. One thing really in my favor is that anything marked "hot" is in good supply. No "Aunt Jemima" shit at all. Mrs. Butterworth seemed to be OK, I don't eat shit like that anyway.

Set a record at $312.40 for one cart of stuff. Of course, I forgot my coupons, could've saved five or six bux.

I like that I can order online and schedule a pickup time, call when I get there and they load it into my trunk (no charge like other places, just spend > $30). Don't have to deal with idiots trying to use vouchers from Papua New Guinea for their purchase, Shaniq'a with a bucket of pennies, or Deontay spending 1/2 hour playing Lotto. And I never forget anything.

When I was in grade school I ran the coin toss at the annual carnival. Lots of people threw pennies.

At the end of the night when they were counting up the change in the coin counter, the older guys were getting impatient since it was getting late. ;)
