In 50-some years of troubleshooting mechanical devices, there's only one time that I can recall or say was a mystery, or a true "ghost in the machine." I managed to fix the problem after wasting a couple of hundred thousand dollars in "fixes" and people's time. Well, I fixed it. Pulled the offending $34,000 machine out, sent it over the scales, put a new unit in. Problem solved.

Things are never boring now, just tedious.

There's definitely a ghost in the machine now, I could surely fix it, given the "authority" to do so.

I'm sorry to disagree -- but no. No! FRAUD, I call FRAUD on Trompy for knowing this was coming to DC and doing NO preparation, even at the obvious places.
