To be honest it is confusing. Lawyers are often difficult to comprehend.

I don't trust Barr either. Again, the big picture is often out of focus to we, the little people.

I think Berman was sitting on the info and possibly allowing Maxwell to roam the planet. It could be that Berman tried to upset Trump but got caught up in a web of intrigue that he wasn't fully aware of.
