Went to a new (to me) dentist yesterday. "We need to get your temperature please" -- "I'm sorry but I don't do that, and it wasn't mentioned when we set up the appt." When filling out the new patient form I also declined to give SSN, DOB and my DL for them to copy. REALLY NOW! Toldem I was there because the huge facility my last dentists are in require masks to enter now.

Two dental groups ago I asked for and got my picture back. That part might sound a bit silly but I am just sick of everybody and all institutions recording our persons!

The new group is certainly odd -- lady who did my checkup and cleaning was a fat if very thorough redneck. Doctor comes in to have a look -- he's got tousled hair and wears checked shirt and tight trousers with no dental getup on at all.

Should I keep these ppl? They're just a few blox away from home and have hundreds of rave reviews from patients online.

My dentist looks almost exactly like Eugene Levy, but I know for a fact he is Eastern Orthodox, not a tribe member.

If they're competent, convenient, and give a discount for cash (mine offers 10% off), I'd continue on.

Americans in general have been far too trusting and lax in keeping their privacy matters - PRIVATE. Gradually, incrementally over time the people have lost their privacy and in fact have voluntarily surrendered it to GOVT, and Private Agencies, Social Media, allowing for BIG BRO to use algorithms to predict behavioral patterns of the greater majority of them.

The future of America will depend upon whether or not the people themselves reject any and all demands for I.D. inquiries that depend upon a SOCIALIST SECURITY NUMBER. I was issued an SSN some 60 years ago. When I agreed to have a SSN it was based upon the available information and the agreement between the SS Administration and me that clearly stated the SSN would never be used as a form of identification. The SS Admin. lied or committed fraud.

I haven't used a SSN for 30 years because I think it's the "MARK" or at a minimum the precursor to the Mark. I based my decision upon the promise that if God be for me "who" can be against me. I have had a few occasions where the lack of I.D. (SSN based) has been a slight obstacle but always overcome. However, with the introduction of this new medical invasion of privacy the powers that be are going to introduce a national or international cov-ID card or chip that will act as a public passport that will be required in order to enjoy most public activities.

The basic public activities that we have enjoyed for decades have been taken away and will not be returned to us without submission to the dictates of the ogres in D.C. In my own personal situation living and operating my life without this I.D. has been an experience I have become so used to that I rarely think about it. At first it was perplexing but after a few years and some interaction with the attorneys for a variety of entities, living without that dreadful number became 2nd nature.

Americans better start showing some backbone or they will definitely become the absolute slaves of an evil empire. It is time to demand our freedom again regardless of the dangers.

Yeah, lots of older SS cards (mine included) state plainly that they're not to be used for purposes of ID. What a joke that's been for at least 30 years now!

The dentist's office has replied "We request that information to verify your identity, there are a lot of insurance companies that use the SSN as the member ID, so that is why that is included and we use your license picture as your patient profile picture in our dental software." Fortunately I don't have dental insurance.

Doctors of all kinds are shocked when I tellem I don't have a doctor and take no meds.

As far as I can tell, just fine -- thanx for asking. She mustov been extremely thoro, because between many rounds of spritzing and scaling the (?) tartar off and polishing, flossing and plus full X- rays etc I was on the chair for like 75 min.

She really bore down where needed e.g. on the lower front teeth, which has to be a good sign. They found a soft spot on a back tooth (could feel it as they probed -- OUCH) and want to cap it for $1000+.

They were all extremely buoyant, friendly and full of gusto. But adding to the oddness, the secy replies re the plants under domes that they're 'succulents' and for display only -- from Ikea. Get the feeling it might be some real-life 'product placement'.

Every business will become government agents of investigation ... the Wal Mart clerk will be an interrogator.

Grocery chains already demand an SSN for a routine store discount card -- at least mine does, Ingles. EVEN AT THE TRUCK STOP ON 85 they want your info to give you a credit card to buy their gas with -- just Orwellian! There it truly should be enuff for them to know where it was bo't and then see where it gets used, but oh no -- the "know your customer" plague pioneered by Bank Against America has metastasized.

Thanks for the advice. I love playing by card now that I've got SS, but that's decadent.

The Social Security card says right on it, NOT TO BE USED FOR IDENTIFICATION. ;)
