That was my first thought, too. But then I thought maybe 12,000 .30 caliber rounds might be more effective than 1,200 30 mm rounds? Not much real heavy armor there, and lots of combatants.

Seems obvious that the Mexican government for whatever reason isn't really trying to eliminate these guys.
