"Look, you fools, you're in danger! Can't you see?! They're after you! They're after all of us! Our wives, our children, everyone! They're here, already! You're next!"

The photography and lighting are artistic -- "partially in a film noir style" (wikid) -- showing what a great medium B&W mise-en-scène really could be. The apt music score is by Carmen Dragon, father of Daryl of Captain and Tenille fame. That's 'Mrs. Olson' of the Folger's coffee commercials on the lawn swing -- Virginia Christine, and don't miss Carolyn Jones as Teddy Belicek.
Believe the film came together somewhat haphazardly and uncertainly like some other classics. Note the minimal budget and shooting schedule

Am I seeing things or is there a jarringly obvious 'evil jew' plot element that went unnoticed by the film's producers? The town psychiatrist character is a classic surly semite named Dan Kauffman. He's jaded and cynical from his first appearance. Then when Dr. Bennell (logically pronounced BEN'-l) realizes his friends are succumbing to the pod plague, who comes to growl at him and Becky Driscoll that they're next in line? Kauffman -- horrifyingly alongside a policeman and good old Jack Belicek, all body-snatched. Ominously and robotically the three devils wait in the other room while Miles and Becky plot an escape.
As the whole problem was first revealed Kauffman stretched the bounds of credulity with his glib rationalizations. Logically we (or I) have to ask.... was Kauffman the first to become a pod doppelganger? Is he really an ET from wherever the seeds originated? That would be similar as hell to jew supremacy -- nobody knows where they came from, why they're working these horrors on us or what to do about it.
IOTBS was scripted by a goy. Did he intend this major jew theme and sneak it past the flick's jew producer, director, editor.... plus audiences from 1956 till now? I give it a 30% chance he meant the story as parable on the jew problem, consciously or otherwise -- not McCarthyism as is often wishfully alleged.
When email was new I found Kevin McCarthy's @ddress and wrote to ask him the big question -- is IOTBS an allegory? He wrote back and vehemently affirmed it, but gave no details and then stopt replying. The DVD package features a bonus interview in which he denies it's anything but a movie yarn.

Since half of their militant warriors are (generally ugly females hoping to finally hook up with any man), we know at least once a month they'll be extremely dangerous or incapacitated by cramps.
