Gun Owners of America Senior Vice President Erich Pratt issued a statement defending Kyle Rittenhouse's right to self-defense based off their analysis of publicly available video evidence and said their lawyers are looking into the case.

GOA: Media Demonizes Apparent Self-Defender Kyle Rittenhouse"Please reach out to us," GOA tweeted to attorney L. Lin Wood on Thursday evening after learning he was organizing Rittenhouse's defense team. "We would like to talk to you about the case."
Springfield, VA – Gun Owners of America (GOA) Senior Vice President Erich Pratt released the following statement on Kyle Rittenhouse's citizen-involved shooting:
"Based upon publicly available video evidence, it appears that Kyle Rittenhouse was acting in self-defense. And despite fake news media reports, it is clear that Kyle was not firing indiscriminately into a crowd.
"GOA has reached out to Rittenhouse's attorneys and the Lake County Public Defender's office, and we have our own attorneys and use of force experts looking into this case, as well. In the meantime, we demand fair treatment from the media, because up till now, their coverage has been horrific. With no evidence, they have labeled Kyle as a racist and a vigilante, but that just indicates how the media elites view all gun owners.
"More to the point, the media has given more favorable coverage to rioters and looters over the past several months than to gun owners who appear to be protecting their lives from violent attackers. The media excuses the violent torching of American cities as 'mostly peaceful' protests. And they now minimize the hatefulness of Kyle's attackers, calling them mere 'protesters.'
"But if Leftists want to question why Kyle Rittenhouse was in Kenosha, then they should begin by asking that question to the 'protesters' who have criminal records and who have come from out of town to terrorize business owners.
"The bottom line is this: every human being has a God-given right to protect themselves. And when a person's life is under attack, the Constitution protects their ability to use firearms without 'infringement' in the defense of that life."

But it's disappointing to see in the GOA's statement "racist" and "vigilante" given equal status as pejoratives unjustifiably applied by the media to Kyle. "Vigilante" definitely connotes criminal activity, but "racist" -- rightfully understood -- should not. By juxtaposing the two, the GOA is implying that if Kyle were a racist then he would be a criminal -- and, like a vigilante -- disqualified from lawfully defending himself.
Also disappointing is their politically correct (and wildly improper) grammar: "every human being has a God-given right to protect themselves" should be "himself". And "when a person's life is under attack, the Constitution protects their ability to use firearms" should be "his ability". To capitulate to feminism and other manifestations of political correctness is cowardly and unmanly.

Au contraire, it's apparent that he did have some grammar pounded into him -- that politically correct grammar that radical feminists have pounded into all government schoolchildren's heads for the last 45 years, their newspeak grammar that supplants the old standard "sexist" grammar wherein the pronouns "he" and "his" are used for a singular person of unknown or unspecified sex.

But the word "vigilante" is modernly defined as "taking the law into your own hands", and whenever used by the jewsmedia is meant to conjure the KKK hanging an innocent negro. And the way GOA uses the word here sure seems to imply that if Kyle were a vigilante, then he would have been engaged in unlawful activity, and thus less justified in defending himself. -- Just as if he were an evil racist.
