A Michigan resident suggested voters put mail-in ballots inside a toilet

(Newser) – A Michigan resident's apparent joke showing disdain for voting by mail is no laughing matter for one election official, the AP reports. The resident put a toilet on their lawn with a sign that says, "Place mail in ballots here." Barb Byrum, the Democratic clerk of Ingham County, filed a complaint with police over the display, saying it could mislead people who aren't familiar with the voting system. "It is a felony to take illegal possession of an absentee ballot," Byrum said Friday. "Elections in this country are to be taken seriously and there are many people who are voting by mail for the first time this election," she said.

I would imagine the County Board of Elections would provide a postage paid envelope to "mail in" those ballots, whether or not they are typical absentee ballots.

After the 2000 election, a guy who called himself Yggdrasil presented a pretty convincing mathematical proof that the reason Bush defeated Gore in Florida (thus winning the national election) was Democrat voters' lower average intelligence which caused them to cast a higher percentage of "hanging chad" ballots that were disqualified. In other words, a lot of Democrats were too stupid to vote properly.

With those punch card ballots you need to make sure the holes are over the red tabs atop the voting machine or the punch will not work properly. This will cause the "chad" to not punch thru properly and hang in place. ;)

dang! I just wish the mailman could figure out he was two blocks off.
