Did you ever look at a map of California. Did you know that Reno, Nevada is 25 miles west of Los Angeles?

I don't know what map you are looking at. But Reno is a lot closer to Sacramento than Los Angeles. ;)

Yes it is. I have been across I-80 thru Donner Pass.
We were stuck at a Sapp Bros truck stop in Evanston, Wyoming for two days during a blizzard. When we were finally able to get out of there we had to go straight to the drop in California.
We were supposed to switch drivers half an hour before we got to the drop. But I kept going to save time.
Driving thru Nevada you could hear the whore houses on CB, "Drivers, stop in for a quick one."
My co-driver was married so even if we had time we likely wouldn't have stopped. LOL
Once we were empty we picked up produce in the valley. ;)
