My very good friend, Dan Kelly, once told me that "you have as much freedom as you are able to defend." That is the bottom line when it comes down to it. The Brits have given up their weapons in large degree so making a stand will be nearly impossible without massive numbers of people in the streets that can overrun police.

Freedom is hard to defend when fellow citizens have a mind to forfeit it. No one with any sense has ever wanted a civil war, especially if they have children. However, fate sometimes creates situations where choices are very difficult for rational people that definitely abhor the idea of killing fellow Americans even when things get as irrational and dangerous as they are today in many of the major cities in America.
