‘Shooters Grill’ Owner Wins House Seat

Lauren Boebert, the 33-year-old mother of four and owner of “Shooters Grill,” the restaurant where every waitress packs a gun, has successfully kept Colorado’s Third Congressional District red in her first attempt at campaigning.

Boebert first ousted incumbent Rep. Scott Tipton, before defeating Diane Mitsch Bush with 51.1 percent of the vote, compared to Bush's 45.7 percent, Townhall.com reports.

GPM reported in September of last year that Boebert stood up to then-presidential-hopeful Beto O’Rourke at a townhall event, responding to his threats to confiscate AR-15s and AK-47s, by saying, “I am here to say: Hell no, you're not."

Boebert and her restaurant also made headlines this year when they defied the government by reopening during COVID-19 shutdown orders. The eatery, for a time, had its license suspended.

Boebert branded herself, among other things, as the antidote to the infamous “squad” of progressive women (Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez [AOC], Ilhan Omar, Ayanna, and Rashida Tlaib) wreaking havoc in Congress. Boebert said previously in a statement:

“Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, The Squad and the rest of these left-wing lunatics are taking a wrecking ball to our country while our current representative stays utterly silent. “Hard-working, patriotic Americans like you and me don’t want the Green New Deal and socialized medicine. Every time AOC and the rest of The Squad pipes up with another crazy idea, I will remind them that our belief in God, country and family are what built the United States of America into the greatest nation the world has ever known.” President Trump himself had previously supported Boebert, telling voters, “Lauren Boebert for Congress — we have to get her in, she’s incredible, she’s a fighter who knows how to win. She’s taken our country by storm — she’s taken me by storm. She’ll never forget our values, she’ll never bow down to the establishment in Congress.”
