Robert Jeffress, pastor of First Baptist Dallas, one of Texas's biggest megachurches, called Biden's apparent victory a "bitter pill to swallow" for Christians, but one that they must accept for the good of the country. At the same time, Jeffress on Wednesday said that he thinks a Biden administration will pose threats to religious liberty and anti-abortion interests, out-of-step with the former vice president's calls for "unity."
Still, Jeffress wrote in a column at Fox News that since "Biden is president-elect," Christians have a duty to pray that he governs well.
"When Joe Biden becomes president, we should commend him for the things he does right," he wrote. "We should condemn the things he does wrong. And above all, we must pray fervently for our president."
Jeffress, throughout the Trump administration, was a key player in the president's outreach to evangelicals. During the coronavirus pandemic, Trump praised the pastor repeatedly and stated that he was watching his online Sunday services from the White House. Jeffress was one of Trump's loudest cheerleaders when he moved the American embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
Jeffress's acceptance of the apparent election results stands in contrast to several of Trump's other faith allies.
Father Frank Pavone, who was a key figure throughout the Trump administration in building grassroots support for anti-abortion measures among Catholics, has led an effort to "count every legal vote," hoping to swing the results toward Trump. Pavone on Tuesday led a prayer service asking God to help Trump prevail in the election. Other members of Trump's Catholic outreach arm joined the effort, still arguing that the president has a chance in the election.

This election reminds me of the movie "Weekend At Bernie's" ! The Dem "Party" is attempting to float this stiff, Joke Biden, as the President Elect" when there cannot be one of these until the Electoral College confirms a winner. (Maybe that's why so many dead people voted for Joe).

Such stances take courage. Chuck Baldwin's about the only protestant preacher of any renown that's come out for Tromp that I can think of. Where's D. James Kennedy when we need him (dead, unfortunately).
Catholics have shown valor before in history -- Fr. Coughlin and his flock. I think the enemy destroyed his brain somehow after the the glory days of his, the Linderberghs' (et al's) opposition to FDR's scheming us into WW2.
