The Senate Judiciary Committee hearings for Attorney General nominee William Barr have focused heavily on Barrs views on Special Counsel Robert Mueller. But nobody is asking about Barrs legal crusade for blanket immunity for federal agents who killed American citizens. Barr received a routine questionnaire from the Judiciary Committee asking him to disclose his past work including pro bono activities serving the disadvantaged. The disadvantaged that Barr spent the most time helping was an FBI agent who slayed an Idaho mother holding her baby in 1992. Barr spent two weeks organizing former Attorneys General and others to support an FBI sniper in defending against criminal charges in connection with the Ruby Ridge incident. Barr also assisted in framing legal arguments advanced in the district court and the subsequent appeal to the Ninth Circuit, he told the committee.
Poster Comment:
The sniper murdered Randy Weaver's wife. She was holding a baby and unarmed at he time.

I had a chance to hear the communications between Law Enforcement Agencies and the communications between the FBI Hostage Rescue Team and the Davidians (Thanks to Davey from Dallas and Ken Vardon R.I.P.). The conversations were intercepted and recorded. I'll just mention that there were 5 U.S. agents killed upon the attack of the Davidians not 4. I do not know for sure why we weren't allowed to know anything about the 5th agent.
I also listened to every hour of the negotiations between the FBI thugs and the Davidians. The Davidians despite being shot up and bleeding were polite and reasonable throughout while the FBI were antagonizing and ruthless. I witnessed the attack on the television and couldn't hardly control my emotions at the blatant violation of posse commitatus, which paled with regard to the final development and slaughter of Americans by military forces. I knew then that our country was never going to be the same. It's my understanding that Governor Ann Richards was told the Davidians were operating a meth lab which was a blatant lie in order to get military forces approved by her. The one fact that has always bothered me the most about this ungodly event was that the FEDS could have arrested David Koresh anytime as he jogged at least once a week by himself.

Plus they killed Mrs. Weaver when she was standing in the doorway of the cabin holding her infant.
No idea where Lon Horiuchi is now. But his fan page is on Facebook. :-/
I think Doug said that he had met Randy Weaver. ;)

That is really cool.
When we drove the big truck down to Florida we would stop at a motel in Lakeland so we could shower and sleep in a real bed before our next delivery the following day.
One time I visited some old friends from up north who had moved down just north of Tampa. I slept in their spare bedroom and my co-driver slept in the truck.
You should have seen the look on the boss's face when I gave him back the $50 we usually spent for the motel. LOL

I did meet him in Kerrville and thought highly of him. He suffered losses like most of us will never know and kept his head on straight. I hope that if I should have anything like that occur to me and my family that I am able to show the same discipline until I have cut the heart out of every motherfucker involved.
When I read the book and the description of Sammy Weaver's murder by U.S. Marshall's, I actually cried because I have a son and he was the same age at the time and I tried to imagine how Randy Weaver felt. The same scabs attacked the Davidians and lied about it. If we have a civil war I'd say we've earned it and should do our damnedest. The people in official capacities believe they have a license to kill. I'm no antifa believer and don't think arbitrary violence is the way to conduct affairs, but that's not to say there aren't some very deserving souls that need some serious attention.

I've had no luck tracing the Barr surname to its origins yet -- prolly Barish, Berlinsky or something. Could be adapted from Berdychiv, the Ukraine town they slithered out of more than 200 years ago.

I've read the Jess Walter book too -- offers many insights but is just a little too light on the killers.

You know the old CBer saying, "Coffee 10s causes 100s."
Drinking too much go juice causes pottie breaks.
Just like, "You don't buy beer, you just rent it." LOL

When we drove the relay for IWX out to Kingman, AZ one of the places we would switch drivers and fuel up was at a truck stop in New Mexico. I would pick up a couple of beef and bean burritos there.
I bet the Huevos Rancheros is darn good in Austin. ;)
