Then I got plucked out of college, by the company to do my "predictive analysis" gig.
My old man died with his head in his hands. I'll never forget the last words he said.
I picked up a few years after spending a birthday at his funeral. Everything that I did from the early 80s through the mid-90s was wasted time.
I managed to keep Mom, Harold and Carol safe, warm and dry, right up until they died.
Hell, I kept the country safe from the commies, as did Dad. Here we are.
Half the country is clammorning for communism now.

I thought about a gal that I could've had a nice life with if her precious bundles that went to their fucking "Ivy League" colleges and became Antifa felons.
She called me a few months ago, I did some work for her now that her husband passed. I didn't know. When I was doing my "civilian" gig, I worked for some "High line" clients.
Hell, it's a long story over a couple of decades, but her husband stroked out a few year ago. Her and Tim were some neat folks.
Rox called me several months ago, wanting me to do some handicap shit for her mother, and got me mixed up with her Ivy League (Antifa) kids that have never worked. I didn't eve know what was going on until the Feds interrogated me.
I had the feds take the tracker off my truck, and the one my buddy Chip (the mechanic a mile away) wasn't supposed to find. My friend Roxette was several years younger than me, I just thought about her today.
That might've been a good thing, but we'd probably spent way too much time fighting about money.
Her real name wasn't Roxette, but she looked like this gal, about a foot shorter and very married.
