This whole horrible subject is another stemming directly from the feverishly avoided, barely whispered subject of overpopulation. Oil pipelines are TERRIBLE. Fracking is TERRIBLE. And we wouldn't be doing it if America had 1/3 its present population (which it did as recently as about 1915).

I understand it's not a question of whether a given pipeline will break, but when -- sort of like levees giving way.
