Donald Trump is reportedly moving forward with his plans to create a 'Patriot Party' to put pressure on Republicans who oppose him and attempt to head off conviction in his second Senate impeachment trial.

That title is bass akwards on its face.

If Trump does form a new party, then it's members cannot challenge Republicans in R primaries, only in the general.

It would be a grave mistake, I say, for Trump to form a new party, as the vote system is only given to 2 parties. Far better to simply stay Republican and take over that party. These parties are simply political vehicles. Nothing should be inferred about political philosophy from the party name.

No matter what extremes may be exhibited by left and right or Liberal and Conservative, there is only ONE PARTY, the War Party. ;)

It would have to be a pressure group within the party. Notice Trump did not say what his plans were. He has to get past the trial in the Senate and all the other trials in the courts.

The people in control of the military sided with Trump against the Clinton Crime family in 2016. They sold him out after the election in 2020. But that would be the support of the top. I have seen videos of troops including blacks surrounding Trump. I saw a video of troops turning their backs on Biden on inauguration day. At the top the men in charge let the Bankers steal tens of trillions from the Pentagon.
