.@KamalaHarris says there will be job creation around "reclaiming abandoned land mines" in West Virginia.
All of those skilled workers who are in the coal industry and transferring those skills to what we need to do in terms of dealing with reclaiming abandoned land mines."

Without Trump, white, straight, working class, Americans are going down.
After over two hundred years to be taken down from inside is a disgrace.

We had the opportunity to be on the West Virginia Turnpike on several occasions. There was a mountain with a thick seam of coal maybe 15 or 20 feet thick.
One week we went thru there and the next week it was gone. They came in and chopped off the top of the mountain and hauled away the coal.
There is nothing there that can be reclaimed. At most they could put down some topsoil and plant a few trees.
But where would they get the topsoil? There are many other areas in Illinois and Iowa that were strip coal mines and absolutely NONE of it has been reclaimed to the best of my knowledge.
In Illinois the strip mines had spoil piles we would walk on and pick up Selenite crystals that had weathered out and were exposed on the surface.
In Iowa they would unearth these big coal balls near Oskaloosa. We would go in there and bust them open to get at the Altered Calcite that was inside of them. ;)

Where are those pipe fitters going to find work? They sure are not going to be reclaiming any of those coal mines in West Virginia. ;)

I'm certain they will have to take a cut in pay until they gain experience in a new job. They can be plumber's helpers, drive trucks, work in a warehouse. However, that is how it has always been when technology put people out of work. They find other jobs, perhaps at half their prior salaries for a couple of years until they get qualified at the journeymen level for higher pay.
