The numbers reflect reports filed between Dec. 14, 2020, and Jan. 29, 2021.
VAERS is the primary mechanism for reporting adverse vaccine reactions in the U.S. Reports submitted to VAERS require further investigation before confirmation can be made that an adverse event was linked to a vaccine.

I get that by assuming an average 80 year life span. 80 years is 960 months. 35 million / 960 is about 36,400, so that would be the number of people out of 35M who should be dying from any and all causes within one month's time, with or without the vaccine.
In that case, only seeing 501 people dying would be extremely low, but the question is how they are determining that 501 figure? My estimate also assumes that all 35 million got the vaccine more than a month ago which is obviously not correct either. It better applies against the number vaccinated as of one month ago. Maybe it's 1/3rd of that figure which would drop the number of expected dead to about 12k, still far above 500.
I don't trust or want the vaccine myself but am just running the numbers here.
