It’s very very simple. Don’t go into debt. I am soon to be debt free and won’t have a need to borrow money to do a fucking thing because I don’t engage in the idea of borrowing other people’s money to fund my goals and dreams. That might be what other people do, but at the end of the day if I am not borrowing other people’s money, I have only myself to thank for my successes, or be the only one to blame for failures.

Excellent. My wife would rather walk than have a car payment.

The rich ruleth over the poor, and the borrower is servant to the lender. -- Proverbs 22:7

What the Bankers want to do is to replace the Dollar with DigiCash which can trace every transaction you make. They can join that at the hip with your online profile to give you a social media score based upon your ability to believe their lies.

I agree with "debt-free is the way to be" with the exception of home purchases exceeding roughly ten years' income, and income-producing properties that will service the debt with income going into your pocket every month.

Real estate is the ONLY investment that has never lost $$$, for me.
