I was driving my 76 Blazer and it was a gas hog, I would shut it down when counting out the papers. I would put out the headlights in the process.
One time a cop flagged me down. He asked, "What are you doing?"
I told him, "I'm doing newspaper relays for Manor News."
Then he asked his female partner, "What's in back?" She said, "Newspapers."

We lived in Germantown in Chicago. There was a 3 chair barbershop with a sign in window that said, "Wir sprechen deutsch".
There was a neighbor that kept a Shetland pony in his garage/horse barn. Every year he would drive it in the German American Day Parade. In Germany if you owned a cart and horse you were considered to be wealthy.
He was an insurance broker. He insured a business and was pocketing the premium. The business burned down and there was no policy. They found him hung the next day in the garage/horse barn. :-/
