This reminds me of the early 70's, a lot of panic buying.

That was more like late 70s when I had that 76 Blazer. It was a gas hog. I was making newspaper relays for the agency. Rising gas prices were killing me. I wonder how they do it today since gas prices in Chicago are similar to out in California. I recall Oklahoma way back. Gas wars were ongoing and it was 19 cents a gallon. ;)
