Endocrine-disrupting chemicals and poor lifestyle habits blamed for decline in fertility.

A top reproductive epidemiologist is warning men could be completely sterile by 2045.

Dr. Shanna H. Swan, a professor of environmental medicine and public health at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, says she’s concerned poor lifestyle habits, as well as a bombardment of endocrine-disrupting chemicals, are damaging human reproduction and leading to a decline in fertility.

Some, maybe most, men will stop producing sperm. However, even if only 5%, some men will produce sperm and per natural selection, they will pass their sperm producing characterizes to their children and future generations. Non sperm producers are dead end since they will not pass their genes to future generations.

The principle is the same as mosquitoes and DDT. Mosquitoes that had no resistance to DDT were a dead end until they stopped using DDT in the USA and sin countries where DDT is commonly used very few such mosquitoes exist.

Of course, if only 5% of men produce sperm there may be drastic reduction of the population. However, that will only be for a several generation since, if the environment is favorable, the population expands exponentially.
