Black concerts were a whole different ball of wax.

We worked Sinbad and a woman singer I do not recall her name. She was opening act. The show was in the round. They had us all strung out holding back the crowd. When the black woman came off stage, she had a gold chain she handed to one of the Roadies. He put it on a table near the stage stairs.

A black girl slipped in there and grabbed it. Someone saw her do that. They searched her and could not find the chain. So they called for Verna, the black girl on the crew. Verna was also a Chicago cop. I saw her cuff someone so fast once it would make your head spin.

As soon as the other black girl saw Verna, the chain magically appeared. She must have hidden it in a secret place. LOL

Then there was Michael Jackson who did the Moon Walk on stage. They filmed him as he was walking up the ramp to go onstage.

Then there was another black show where several of the people were hanging out in their seats after everyone else had left. I got their attention and told them the show was over and they needed to leave.

One of them replied they were just going to hang out for a while. I told them, "You don't have to go home but you can't stay here." The cleaning crew needed to get in there and clean up the trash people leave. It is just like at the movie theaters. ;)
