We were Depression and WWII dregs of society.

Survival for most of us was our goal. The few did well, the rest of went off to war, not Canada.

We all had to make our own decision.

My Grandfather (far removed) took his Fathers musket and went off to war with Washington at start of Revolutionary War. Had he not joined others, I often wonder what would have been our destiny.

Every war since then, right or wrong, my ancestors have served and some gave all. Difficult to abide those that live here only for the good times. I have two relatives dying slow death from agent orange.

Side note...Our tide of immigrants contains thousands of males between ages 18 and 26. The law says they have limited time to REGISTER WITH SELECTIVE SERVICE, no exceptions. Everything is free, but they violate the law.

When war starts again, you will se a tidal wave of men flooding south to Mexico. Immigrants will run like rabbits, let others bleed and die.

Society goes thru periodic frenetic, frantic,loud gyrations of social follow the crowd episodes and call it enlightenment, alas it all falls by the wayside an embarrassment to society. Most people grow out of it over time.

However, I have no right to a free ride, right or wrong. Any citizen is free to leave at any time, however, we have untold thousands trying to enter this country every day.

There is no perfect government on earth, such does not exist. Thus we have no flow of emigrants rushing to leave.

Consider our government, IF WE DO NOT GO OFF TO WAR OR REFUSE TO PAY OUR TAXES THE VERY GOVERNMENT WE VOTED FOR WILL THROW US IN PRISON. Look at the other side, if we do not work, pay no taxes, refuse the military, that same government will pay us not to work, furnish us with a place to live and forgive us after the war is over, welcome us home.

All of us VOTED FOR AND PAY OUT TAXES LIKE GOOD DOOBIES.

There is not one IRATE CITIZEN on the national scene urging individuals to organize and not pay taxes, not one. We pay our taxes because...we are afraid... I went off to war because I was afraid.

To Canada afore or to Mexico soon, and a full pardon?
