Suzy Bogguss opened for Brooks & Dunn on my birthday in Chicago back in the early 90s. My buddy got me a guest pass so it did not cost a cent to get in. I had the pleasure to meet her back stage. She said she had a dream to be a star. If Jerry Jeff Walker introduced her I would say she has made it. ;)

Willie was flight engineer back during Korean thing, on B 29s. I was a radio operator. Did not know him then but went thru same crew training schools. That was 70 years ago.

At the same time 1950 51, Johnny cash was two months ahead of me in military school. In my class was nephew of Charles Bohlen. At the time Bohlen had office next to Oval office.

I wonder if Bohlen had the same office when former Chief of Gestapo Heinrich Mueller played the piano for Harry Truman in 1946.

Mueller was brought here from Switzerland as part of Operation Paperclip. He was given the rank of Major in the U.S. Army.

The reason Mueller was brought here was because his specialty was Soviet counter-intelligence. And we all know where the Soviet Union is today.

The three book series Gestapo Chief by Gregory Douglas tells the whole story. I have them here at home now. ;)

In 1939, Ribbentrop and Molotov signed secret agreement to start WWII by invading and splitting Poland. The agreement was signed in Moscow.

Charles Bohlen was member of the American embassy in Moscow.

The day after the signing by Molotov and Ribbentrop, a member of the German embassy in Moscow, a friend of Bohlen, showed up at the American embassy with a copy of the signed secret agreement to start WWII.

Bohlen immediately flash wired the entire agreement direct to FDR. So, FDR was aware of the war one day after the signing.

Note none of the information came from the Russians.

Bohlens nephew was in military school with me in Korean war. I was there when he called the White House direct and had the Air Force shaken from the top down. Bohlens nephew was gone next day and the Air Force officers were wetting themselves in fear. The CO even helped him pack.
