I have a feeling coming on right now like I had just before 9/11 when I told some Saudis, "Don't trust the Americans. Something BIG is about to happen."
It's hard to put myself back in that frame of mind from over twenty years ago. (Where does the time go, and what do they do with it when they're done with it?)
It felt like the contradictions were building and building back then. With our crooked upper crust engineering wars and skimming off enough of the cream to pay off all manner of allies that would otherwise wander off in all directions. Herding cats it was. They needed a rationale to bind it all together. They found one and they created a cover story that allowed them to milk it for all it was worth.
At this hour, we're still stuck in the ME, and stuck is a funny word as it's not like we're still there from want of trying. The peeps certainly don't want to be there and the "allies" many of them, are getting restless. The big power competition is getting really edgy, and Elmer Fudd is at the wheel. Meanwhile the fed cash machine is running at rates we have not seen in our history. That is bad news.
Didn't see what exactly what was coming then, and I don't know how they'll yank our chain next, but the Big Boys find themselves in a corner once again, and I expect something at once seemingly reckless and very calculating in the offing.
Every day I am told that Donald Trump was a terrible president. They tell me that Trump was Hitler. At least Hitler loved his country and his people. Joe Biden talking about guns is no different than Hunter Biden talking about Taras Schevchenko. Neither one has any business talking about either topic because both are brain dead morons.
I didn't see it coming 20 years ago. I was disgusted that Bush got elected, but had no clue what his agenda might be. I was also busy at the time, so didn't do much online discussion. Allowed myself to rely on FR too much, which by then had been taken over by Hasbara.
I had a Sony Watchman on my desk that morning, tuned to a morning news program (west coast) when the planes hit. I was as shocked as most people. The psyops at FR were ferocious over the next few months and I joined the now defunct Liberty Forum. The idiocy there was different, but as bad. When I realized the tower story was bullshit when watching Frontline's "pancake collapse" narrative, I more or less withdrew from online life and got on with my business. I continued to run the Yahoo page Constitutional Restoration and had to beat off a relentless spam / denial of service attack by taking legal action with Yahoo. It was a well known FReeper, who had hired some techies for the job.
When I got banned from FR in '06 I realized that the country had been taken over completely and there was no "educating" people to recover it. Since then it's been like watching your house get closer and closer to the edge as the hillside it's on slides away more and more during every rainstorm. That it could go over at any moment is more expected than not.
It's very possible that the demise of freedom will be bookended by two Catholic presidents. The one who got violently removed for taking his oath of office and love of country seriously, and the one who just uses random "oaths" and isn't taken seriously by anyone as they expect him to be removed "legally."

That's one of those neat coincidences that writers of history build essays around.
Kind of like the over 20 conspiracies and six direct assassination attempts that Adolf Hitler remarkably walked clear of. All but the last one left him without a scratch.
It will be interesting to see what the terms of Kennedy and Biden bookend. I do get the feeling that an era of some sort is coming to an end.
Appreciate the bio BTW. Absolutely incredible what's transpired the last 20 years or so. Hard to say how it will be characterized 'cause it ain't over yet. The climax may not be pleasant.

Tells ya just what a precarious state we're currently in that such a prospect is eminently credible.
This is not simply in the cards. This is next.
I get the distinct feeling that we are in for another thunderclap, and I'm not talking about some stupid piss-up over a virus.

It's been straight downhill since about '87 and accelerating. No offense intended, but that's like predicting flies on a pile of dogshit.
