One time I had to pick up a conveyor system at Abbott Labs in Northbrook, Illinois. We had to strap it into the trailer to keep it in place. We had those metal strips inside of the trailer that allowed us to do that.

They did not have a loading dock in Northbrook so I had to back the trailer up to a door in the building and they loaded it piece by piece. I do not recall too much about making the delivery though and that was a result of the meningitis I suffered with. :-/

I am very lucky to recall any of these things I learned in the past because of the meningitis. So any time I make a post you cannot get a handle on, just kindly ignore it. The things I have done in the past have worked well for me.

The way the commercial law works is if they are served the Assignment of Account by Certified Mail with Return Receipt, they are required to zero the account. If they fail to do so and send the bill again it is a "default judgement". This means the Director of the State tax agency, or the Commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service owe Treble Damages.

The hillbillies where I live in the State Capitol do not know any better and they sent the tax bill again. I wrote them back and told them, "The Assignment of Account IS the payment of the tax. You are required to zero the account."

The IRS knows what those Assignments are since they have seen them before. I did not serve them on the IRS last time. Lexington Law did the dirty work for me. ;)

This means the Director of the State tax agency, or the Commissioner of the Internal Revenue Service owe Treble Damages.

I was working a concert at Soldier Field in Chicago. One of the guys on the crew handed me a baggie. He said, "What kind of dope is this?"

I looked at it and said, "That's not dope. It's a banana peel."

I wonder what kind of dope he was doing? ROTFLOL

I hope he didn't pay more than $20

In late 70s in Chicago I loaned this guy $100. He had a month to get it back to me. I knew what he was using it for.

When he was late, I put the word out on him. Someone told me they saw him going into Food & Liquors store on main drag. I drove over there and caught him coming out front door.

I hollered at him, "Come out here!" on traffic side of truck. I said, "So where is my money?" He starts to give me a line of BS so I grab him by his shirt and say, "If you don't get my money FAST, (I look left and a car was coming.) you might have an accident." I pushed him back. He rocked back on his heels. I pulled him back just before the car hit him. It was so close the car stopped. His eyes gt big around and he screamed at me, "YOU'RE ON DRUGS! YOU GOTTA BE ON DRUGS!"

I had my cash the next day.

I told that story on The Chicago Outfit Facebook page and one of those guys said, "You would have been a good enforcer." ROTFLMAO!
