The goal of the lawsuit was to increase the financial pressure on companies that sell assault weapons...and it looks like that goal was achieved, to an extent.

This is a very bad precedent.

Should never have been accepted in any court, anywhere.

Remington went bankrupt. So who is going to pay this so called “settlement”? Because Remington as far as I know, never made “Assault Weapons”. To my knowledge the never made ANY select fire AR15 rifles of any kind so, the term Assault Weapons does not apply and we need to start impeaching politicians who deliberately lie. I imagine if we were to start jailing politicians for perjury like we do the regular citizenry, their behavior would indeed change.

That, or they would become even better liars. Hard call….

this is the closest that I found

Remington R-15 VTR Predator, Semi-Automatic, .223 Remington, 22" Barrel, 5+1 Rounds

It has a pistol grip and camo finish, pretty scary fer sure.

What's next, will Dodge be sued for the death of Heather Heyer? (Unite the Right, Charlottesville, Dodge Challenger)

I still believe Wolfgang Halbig, et al, that Sandy Hook was totally staged event and that the Charlottesville debacle was also staged/encouraged to unfold as it did. Didn't Heyer die of an obesity aided heart attack?

Facts don't matter in a court of law.
