Such is however not rare nor unusual in this age of education and information.

The young under 30 are educated without a hint of reality.

Yeah. My dad died in 1976 pushing around a desk at a local defense contractor in EW1 (active electronic warfare) after surviving the Philippines during WWII. Dad never talked about his experiences there, he was a very stoic man.

I picked up the mantle around 1980, contracting for a 'Company'. I was around when the Berlin Wall started coming down, and saw the end of the USSR before changing careers.

Of late, I wonder if we both didn't waste our lives. Looking around today, it sure seems like it was all for nothing.

Anybody rooting for communism, sure as hell has never spent time in a communist country.
