When we lived in Chicago area we would go out near Buffalo Rock State Park and do some shooting. There were strip coal mines in the area.
One guy had a Russian sniper rifle and he was doing about the best. You would put the cross hairs on the base of plastic buckets the owners had thrown out on the range. You would see how high you could get the bucket to jump.
One guy had an AK-47. The sear was worn so much all he had to do was tickle the trigger to get it to fire multiple times. He poured motor oil on it afterward to cool it down. ;)
