Taliban Reportedly Finds $6 Mln, Gold Bars in Home of Self-Declared Afghan President Saleh
The Taliban (terrorist organisation, banned in Russia) found about $6 million in cash and at least 15 gold bars in the house belonging to former Afghan Vice President Amrullah Saleh, who had declared himself president of Afghanistan, Khaama Press reported on Monday.
The Afghan news agency shared a video circulated earlier on social media, saying it showed Taliban militants demonstrating the assets found in Saleh's residence. A source in the movement confirmed to Sputnik that "huge sums of money" had been found in the house of the vice-president in the failed government of Ashraf Ghani. Neither Saleh nor the members of the anti-Taliban resistance have yet commented on the claims.

Now do you think the Chinese will try to move into the vacuum created by the U.S. departure? After all, they do want access to the minerals in the mountains. But they would definitely need a military presence. ;)

Is it really a vacuum? If China moves in, Afghanistan might have the distinction of kicking the butts of not one, not two, but 3 world powers, all nuclear armed, out of their country in the span of some 50 years.

Yes and we sent military aid to the Mujahideen.
This caused the collapse of the Soviet Union. ;)
