Better yet, truckers need to not drive for a week or two. Without deliveries, there is only a 3 day supply of food within the big cities and after starving for 3 to 5 days, hungry people lose it.

Yes, major mayhem would quickly ensue in every large city if truckers were to quit delivering goods for a few days. But the enemies of freedom know that, and they undoubtedly have a plan to not let such a good crisis to go waste. They would use the occasion to justify seizing yet more power and stomping even harder on our faces.
