because it 'discriminates against black and Hispanic students' - but parents AND teachers say it will halt smart kids' learning and leave others 'behind'

New York City is ending its gifted and talented schools program for exceptional students and will put all children in the same classes, claiming that the current system discriminates against black and Hispanic kids.

What about its bakkabaw and fooppaw programs? No doubt they're invulnerable -- racemongering is the unchanging topmost priority.

Yeah, and only white European Spaniards are benefiting from the millions spent each year on Spanish->English translators.

Spaniards

AOC's family fled Spain during the Inquisition. They are crypto-Jews. Specifically, Sephardic Jews. ;)

Cuba was envisioned initially in 15th/16th century by Spain as a place to ship their (((problem))) population.

AOC is PR'can, where Cubans must have bred with pigs, monkeys, and/or dogs.

That sounds a bit like how the British viewed Australia. ;)

Until a month ago I would have argued they turned out completely different.

At the present time there are only two countries without a Rothschild central bank. Those are Cuba and Iran.

When Kim stepped across the DMZ and embraced the peacenik Moon, that ended the Korean War and brought the Norks into the fold.

Trump sent B-52s to Deigo Garcia. But those B-52s would be like slow flying geese to Iranian air defense systems.

The main question now is what will China do when their social system starts to collapse? Will they go to war to prevent this?

The one main tension that remains is the Taiwan Straits. It is likely the most heavily defended stretch of water in the entire world.

Would the U.S. step up and try to help the Chinese Nationals defend that island which is viewed by the CCP as a breakaway province?

These are both geopolitical questions that must be looked at and answered now, especially considering the main differences between the Trump and Biden administrations.

The Chinkernese likely view the Biden administration to be weak and ineffectual, since the sanctions placed on China by Trump caused many businesses to flee China for more friendly locations such as Vietnam and Malaysia.

The recent sale into the secondary markets of short term U.S. debt has caused the FED to be forced to buy up those notes which were once owned by China and Brazil.

This is a vain attempt to keep inflation under control. If and when the time comes they cannot do the do and buy up that debt, those chickens will come home to roost and cause inflation here to be as bad as in Weimar Germany when you needed a wheel barrow of German Marks to buy a loaf of bread. ;)

How many of them could there be? I've always lamented that if there must be millions of foreigners, why can't they be French or Spanish (the 2 language choices in scool when I was growing up).

That's been a US stronghold for a long time.

Ever hear of ECM? Don't be so sure.

Not under Bidet, we won't.

All of them.

Should've taken Mandarin or Russian, not like they were offered or anything like that. You tried, hell, I'm not even English-capable anymore.

We had French, Spanish, and German in junior high. The German class had pin-on buttons made that said Küss mich! Ich spreche Deutsch!*

The principal made them stop wearing them; he said the were "unAmerican". But the county was heavily German. The neatest people you ever met. Their farms could be on magazine covers.

*If Mindy Libke had worn one, I probably would have gotten myself thrown out of science class.

I'm sure there's somebody her who's brain isn't so mashed up that remembers *Leni Reifensthal's* beautiful movie about Germany after Hitler was elected and before WWII. I can't remember the name of it to save my ass right now.

This'll fit...

I'm one of those guys (figuratively), guess which one.

Yes I have.

I know Air Force One has them and they can be deployed in case of attack by unfriendly aircraft. ;)

Küss mich! Ich spreche Deutsch!

I lived in German town in Chicago. The three chair barber shop had a sign in the window that said, "Wir sprechen Deutsch".

There was a really great restaurant also with good German food. They first opened in 1946. They had really good Hasenpfeffer.

I heard they closed up several years ago after being in business for 70 years. It seems the demographics of the whole area had changed and was no longer German majority.

There was also a German-American who lived nearby. He had a Shetland pony boarded in his garage. He would drive that pony with a cart in the German-American Day Parade every year. If you lived in Germany and owned a horse and cart you were considered to be wealthy.

He was an insurance broker. He insured a business and was pocketing the premium. The business burned down. There was no policy. They found him hung the next morning in the horse stall/garage. :-/

Luckily, I chose four years of HS Spanish which has served me well enough in both Mexico and Spain. I am NOT bi-lingual by any means, but I can order a meal, find a place to stay, and generally stay alive in those countries. Better off than a good friend who chose German.

American English should long ago been made the official, and only, language used here. MO did it, why not the rest of the states?

I am thinking Mindy Libke was your first sweetie.

When I was a Senior in High School, I was the photographer for the year book.

One day I had this girl in the darkroom with me. She was an underclassman. The bell rang to change classes and we had to get out of there.

When we emerged there were three girls there that saw us. They went, "Aaawwww!" ROTFLOL

My wife, who regularly trounces me in Scrabble, took two years of Spanish in junior high and even visited Spain with her class. She can count to cinco, but probably not diez.

PS I did beat her by 1 point the other night, and I was so proud of myself. In a single move I played OVINE and OUST on her previous VINE.

When in High School we were playing Chess.

I sacrificed my Knight and then took the other guy's Queen. You should have seen the look on his face.

This is very old memory and I am lucky to recall it because of the meningitis that wiped out so much from the past. ;)

When did MO? At one time, of course, making German the official language was seriously considered. I forget the story -- came within 3 votes in the Constitution convention or something.

Triumph of the Will. It's the strangest, most wondrous thing -- she did more than anything to make Hitler look good on the world stage but I'm never aware she's been much persecuted or witch hunted. Years ago at age 100 she was enjoying a great gadabout life -- pic of her posing with Siegfried and Roy as if big cat shows were old hat to her.

As a young movie maniac I read an interview with her about her cinematic techniques -- just another chapter in a book of 'em. Her Nazi work is still considered awesome/ classic/ pioneering. Believe she died a staunch NS at heart, and more power to her.
