I think that it’s going to be quite interesting to see how this plays out and if the prosecution drops their charges and then tries to negotiate new ones from a place of weakness.

They knew they had a dead case, but chose to go after this kid purely out of politics. While I do not agree he should have been there, let alone armed, this does in fact speak volumes as to how law abiding permit to carry holders should look when having to defend themselves against a mob.

I think if I were going to be tried in the court of opinion and have the judge and jury threatened by a mob of idiots screaming for “Justice” I would hope that I had the discipline this kid seems to have. God Bless Kyle Rittenhouse.

NEVER underestimate the ability of any government -- federal, state, or local -- to seat a jury that will happily and readily convict you of any and all charges that said government decides to pile on you. Evidence is NOT needed to convict; truth means nothing when exculpatory. The US injustice system murdered "innocent until proven guilty" and "beyond reasonable doubt" and hid their bodies years ago.

He had a full-time job as a lifeguard in Kenosha. He had some training in rescue as he was offering free emergency care to rioters. He was cleaning graffiti. And he was protecting a car lot from arsonists determined to burn cars. He had a fire extinguisher at one point. The rioters had set a dumpster on fire and were trying to roll it into the nearby gas station to blow it up. He helped to stop it.
